Professor Elizabeth Wickremasinghe

Elizabeth graduated from the University of Exeter in 1992 with a degree in Physics and Theology, and gained her doctorate - studying condensate theories of consciousness - from the Massachesetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1999.

Elizabeth is a gifted polymath and bona fide genius - according to Malcolm, anyway - who has occupied a variety of research positions in both the academic and commercial worlds, including at MIT, Stanford, Foresight Fabrication and BBP.

Elizabeth was the first woman to occupy the David Deutsch Chair at the Quantum Computation Laboratory of Oxford University before joining the Choo Institute as Chief Technology Officer in 2015.

Her specific research interests include biomemetic nanoreplicators and computational heterophenomenology.
